✔️ Mission completed! RobonAUT 2026🚗🤖🔥
evosoft proudly supported the 17th RobonAUT competition, where BME’s Q building once again buzzed with innovation, creativity and top‑tier student engineering.
evosoft – Supporting the engineers of tomorrow: Another successful RobonAUT Competition behind us
Buzzing motors, spinning wheels, excited chatter, joyful laughter and engineering creativity all gathered in one place – the impressive atrium of BME’s Q building once again filled up for the 17th edition of one of Hungary’s most popular technology competitions, RobonAUT. We are proud that evosoft has been supporting this event for seven years now, which consistently showcases the outstanding engineering skills and team spirit demonstrated by Hungarian university students.
evosoft as a key supporter of this year’s competition
We were delighted to welcome the teams again this year, as inspiring future engineers and supporting their hands-on development is a priority for us. evosoft was represented on-site by Katalin Herczeg, University Relations and Communications Specialist. She greeted participants, congratulated the competing teams, and joined rector Dr. Charaf Hassan and the other sponsors in presenting the trophies, awards and gift packages.
A gift package for every participant – including an evosoft building kit
Every competing team received a special evosoft gift pack that included:
a custom-designed evosoft building block set showing, in a playful way, how real technologies grow out of developers’ code,
an invitation for a VIP visit to the evosoft headquarters,
and other unique evosoft surprises to make the day even more memorable.
Behind the scenes, we also provided active support through financial contribution and by creating the official trailer video for the event.
Our evosoft pride: Dániel Varga on the track for the third time
We were especially pleased to see our colleague Dániel Varga back in the competition. After winning last year’s event, he returned for the third time with his team D’ya like DAGS? (senior category).
They once again performed exceptionally well, showing impressive determination and skill throughout the event. We congratulate them and thank them for representing evosoft with such excellence in the RobonAUT community!
🎙️Recently in one of our podcasts Dánial Varga talked about the details and ‘behind the scenes’ of RobonAUT competition. His partner was in this discussion Domokos Kiss, the competition coordinator and Associate Professor at BME VIK.
Listen to the podcast and discover more about the challenge and about the “Sufnituning” (MacGyvering).
Dani with his senior team - Congratulation guys!
The finals: engineering creativity at its best
The competition took place on Saturday, February 14, where autonomous robot cars had to complete:
a speed track,
a challenging obstacle course,
and, for the first time, prevent the actions of a “pirate robot”.
The event, with a total prize pool of 3 million HUF, required teams to demonstrate strong knowledge in microcontroller programming, control engineering and electronics. Thanks to onboard cameras and live broadcasting, spectators could follow every moment of the action in real time.
Why does evosoft support RobonAUT year after year?
Because we believe that:
hands-on engineering competitions are true launchpads for students,
they introduce complex technological fields in an engaging and playful way,
and these talented young engineers may one day develop the smart solutions of the future – perhaps even at evosoft.
