evosoft wins 'The Best Workplace for Women' Award

Female employees are not privileged. They’re a natural and indispensable part of success, innovation, and the future.

The Association for Women's Career Development in Hungary honoured evosoft Hungary Kft. with the ‘Best Workplace for Women' Award, recognizing it as the top organization in the category of companies employing more than 250 employees.

The award, presented for the eighteenth time this year, aims to emphasize the economic and social significance of employing women, highlight the economic necessity beyond equal opportunity considerations, and showcase best practices that other employers can adopt in both domestic and international labour markets.

In its commendation, the award committee praised evosoft's comprehensive, conscious, and exemplary programmes designed to support the professional and personal development of female employees, promote workplace equality, maintain work-life balance, and reintegrate colleagues on maternity or childcare leave.

"We are proud of this award, especially because, as an IT company, we have a higher proportion of male employees – since fewer young women in Hungary still choose technical or engineering fields when pursuing further education. With this recognition, we want to send a clear message to them: set aside stereotypes and confidently choose a career in IT and software development, where female talent and the values women bring are just as essential as those of men.

At evosoft, we believe that people – their knowledge, experience, and diversity – are our greatest asset. Our strategy focuses on creating a safe and inclusive environment where every employee feels inspired, authentic, and empowered to grow. We place particular emphasis on providing equal opportunities and support for women – whether starting a career, advancing to leadership roles, balancing family life, or continuing their professional journey," emphasized Ágnes György, Head of People & Organization at evosoft Hungary Kft.

As part of Siemens Foundational Technologies Development (FT D), evosoft Hungary Kft. employs over 1,800 people across 3 locations in Hungary: Budapest, Miskolc, and Szeged. Women currently represent 17-18% of our workforce. A ratio that is steadily increasing year by year, thanks to conscious corporate programmes. The proportion of female leaders exceeds this overall figure, with four women holding top management positions and inspiring colleagues through their personal examples.

At evosoft, a leadership is not a privilege but an accessible path. We place special emphasis on ‘awakening ambition in female employees’ and ensuring that as many talented women as possible can participate in our talent and leadership succession programmes. We also showcase role models for colleagues and future generations: in our podcast series, women at evosoft share why they chose a technical or IT career.

In 2008, evosoft launched the 'Women in IT' community’ to inspire, support, and empower female employees in both their professional and personal lives. Built on strong community foundations, the programme offers not only professional connections but also genuine human relationships. This cohesion, trust, and mutual support make the 'Women in IT' community one of evosoft's most valuable internal resources. More details: Women at evosoft

’At evosoft, we have been consciously monitoring and analyzing salary developments for years. Our goal is to ensure that gender pay gaps are not an issue, because for us, the principle of equal pay for equal work is not just a promise but a practice," stated Ágnes György. She also announced a newly launched internal corporate 'glass ceiling' research project, aimed at identifying barriers that prevent female employees from reaching the highest levels – not only in leadership roles but also along expert career paths.

In the spirit of its caring values, evosoft maintains active contact with employees on maternity or childcare leave, ensuring they remain connected to corporate life and the community. During their absence, the company organizes programmes for mothers and supports their return through reintegration training, mentoring, and flexible work arrangements tailored to individual needs. evosoft's goal is to ensure that childbirth and raising children do not to interrupt careers but are integrated into work as a natural part of life.
