Researchers’ Night at evosoft 2026
2,000 visitors. Countless experiences. One unforgettable night of technology and discovery.
What happens when the doors of our offices open not only to colleagues, but to everyone interested in technology, research, and innovation?
This year’s Researchers’ Night once again welcomed visitors to our Budapest and Szeged offices. During this evening, nearly 2,000 visitors explored more than 20 booths, demonstrations, workshops, and interactive experiences, discovering the world of engineering, innovation, and research firsthand.
🚀 Five Years of Curiosity and Innovation
This year marked the fifth Researchers’ Night organized by evosoft. Over the past five years, we have welcomed more than 12,000 visitors and hosted over 100 technology demonstrations, workshops, and laboratory experiences. And over the years the event has grown into one of our most important STEM outreach initiatives to help inspire the next generation of engineering professionals.
From humanoid robots and robot dogs to AI, VR, drones, rockets, industrial automation, medical technologies, hands-on engineering workshops, and exclusive lab tours, thousands of visitors have experienced technology up close. Along the way, there have been countless questions, inspiring conversations, smiling faces, and, of course, plenty of owl balloons. 🎈
Supporting the Future
One of the most exciting aspects of the evening was the opportunity to showcase some of our key university collaborations. These partnerships not only support the development of future engineers and researchers, but also help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical experience.
Through a drone programming workshop organized in collaboration with Pázmány Péter Catholic University, visitors could do much more than simply learn about drone technology. During a guided session, participants programmed drones to complete an obstacle course without touching a remote controller. Whether they were complete beginners or experienced enthusiasts, everyone could find a challenge that matched their level of expertise.
In collaboration with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), visitors could also explore the fascinating world of rocket engineering. They had the opportunity to meet the BME Suborbitals team, which evosoft has proudly supported for several years, and see the new Eclipse Powered by evosoft rocket. The team will represent Hungary with this rocket at the prestigious European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) in Portugal. Visitors could also view the team’s self-developed solid-propellant rocket engine, the first Hungarian-developed engine of its kind.
🤖 When the Future Comes to Life
Among the technology demonstrations, some of the biggest crowd favorites were the humanoid robots of Infuze Robotics and our very own robot dog.
These robots quickly won over visitors of all ages. Younger guests danced alongside them and walked the robot dog on a leash, while technology enthusiasts had the opportunity to discuss the development processes and engineering behind these solutions with our expert colleagues.
Another major attraction was BOB, our AI-powered compliment-giving “colleague,” who delighted visitors with personalized and heartwarming messages. The booth demonstrated both the capabilities of AI systems and the unique ways technology can connect with human experiences. We can confidently say that everyone left BOB’s station with a smile on their face. 😊
Where Technology Meets People
Although the robots, rockets, and drones attracted plenty of attention, the true heart of the evening was found in the conversations and connections created throughout the event.
Our colleagues, university partners, researchers, and students spent the evening engaging with visitors, answering questions, and sharing their experiences. Through guided office tours, guests could explore areas that are not normally accessible to the public. From the PLC laboratories to the innovative solutions showcased in TinkerLAB, visitors gained valuable insights into the development processes behind our products.
None of this would have been possible without our expert colleagues, who dedicated their time and energy to sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and providing a glimpse into their daily work. Their enthusiasm, expertise, and openness brought the showcased technologies to life and helped make Researchers’ Night a true meeting point between innovation and people.
An Evening Driven by Curiosity
The evening once again reminded us that innovation does not happen in isolation. It grows through curiosity, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas between researchers, developers, students, and the wider community.
We are proud to have opened our doors and shared some of the people, ideas, and technologies that actively shape the solutions of tomorrow. 💚
We hope our visitors left with at least as much inspiration as they gave us throughout the evening. See you next year! 🚀✨
