Why neurodiversity matters at work

EN

At evosoft, we believe that diversity is a genuine strength. Neurodiversity has become one of the priority areas of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programme this year. We are convinced that our differences create value within our teams and across the company.

This is why we proudly supported SNI Suli EXPOby sponsoring the room hosting Neurodiversity in the workplace sessions.

SNI Suli EXPO is the largest ADHD and autism conference and special educational needs (SEN) exhibition and fair in Hungary.

Neurodiversity is an increasingly important topic in both Hungarian education and the world of work. The goal of the EXPO is to build bridges between schools and families, professionals and socially responsible companies, so that together we can create environments where everyone can grow.

We were especially pleased that the April event in Budapest offered an opportunity to gain reliable insight from neurodiversity experts, people with lived experience of different forms of neurodivergence, and organizations actively working in this field. The event also sparked meaningful conversations and strengthened internal dialogue within our company.

At the event, BalázsVarga, evosoft’s DEI Ambassador, gave a presentation about the concrete neurodiversity-related initiatives we are working on at evosoft. These include efforts to ensure that:

  • all colleagues feel safe and supported,

  • the many forms of neurodiversity are understood and acknowledged,

  • practical support is provided to colleagues and leaders,

  • and we build a workplace where everyone is valued – just as they are. 💙

This commitment is also reflected in our corporate Credo, which states:

’We want you to be the best version of yourself at evosoft - a place where you truly belong.’

We believe this mindset is exemplary and can serve as inspiration for both workplace and educational environments.

Our focus on neurodiversity

Diversity is not just a slogan for us, but a core company value. In 2026, neurodiversity is a central focus of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion project, as we believe that our differences are a true resource. This diversity benefits every colleague, every team and ultimately the company as a whole.

What is neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity refers to the natural variation in how people think, learn, perceive and communicate. Different neurological patterns (such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or Tourette syndrome) are part of human diversity, just like any other personal characteristic.

Every fifth person is affected in some way, either personally or as a parent or family member. This is why neurodiversity naturally belongs in workplace conversations and organizational culture.

Why is this important for us as an organization?

  • Because we want every colleague to feel safe and supported.

  • Because neurodivergent ways of thinking bring innovation, creativity and new perspectives.

  • Because we believe success is only possible when everyone can build on their own strengths.

  • Because many of us, as leaders, teammates or parents, need access to reliable and accessible information.

What do we want to achieve in 2026?

  • A more empathetic and conscious organizational culture.

  • Practical, easily accessible knowledge materials for colleagues.

  • Support for leaders and teams in building neurodiversity-friendly ways of working.

  • Meaningful dialogue with affected colleagues.

  • A stronger message that everyone is valuable – just as they are.

Throughout the year, we are planning several information materials, workshops and presentations. Their goal is to help build a better understanding of the differences between neurotypical and neurodivergent people, and to support the creation of a mor inclusive and supportive working environment. We also aim to share practical information on how to access diagnosis, which professional organizations can offer support, and what assistance options are available for neurodivergent individuals and their families.
