Developing the future with the help of AI and cloud technologies

We started a large-scale artificial intelligence development project with Siemens two years ago. We develop machine learning and machine vision-related industrial software products together with our parent company.

With this product family, we provide a digitalization solution that makes artificial intelligence easily accessible to engineers working on the development and operation of production lines.

We develop our products in several programming languages according to the needs of the industry: our colleagues use C++, JavaScript, AngularJS, GoLang and python programming languages, as well as participate in the development and testing of a suite of artificial intelligence software and hardware solutions. Besides, we develop the test automation framework for the entire product range in Hungary. Some of the colleagues working on the project are creating software solutions supporting Docker AI-based development in the world of edge computing.

We have more than 5 years of experience in cloud-based product development. The competencies of our colleagues working in this area include the knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, as well as a strong focus on Java-, Python-, NodeJS- and C#-based web technologies. We also have extensive experience in operating cloud-based services. Thanks to the high-level knowledge of our monitoring team, we often provide consulting services to our partners.

We have more than 10 years of experience in developing and testing production control systems for industrial automation. Our colleagues develop a control system software that provides continuous data acquisition and monitoring services for production lines, error management and visualization on industrial devices for today and tomorrow’s requirements. This will enable digitalization between automation products and devices since all industrial devices within a factory are directly connected in real-time, ensuring that intelligent systems collect data and operate at different levels.

The software is highly versatile in terms of functionality and is available as a part of the SIMATIC product family at the major European car manufacturers. In addition, this platform also serves water, wind, energy, oil industry and building automation solutions.

We develop a platform with strong focus on quality and reliability. Our co-workers may gain experience in developing a performance-critical, asynchronous, distributed and redundant system in the C++ and C# programming languages in an agile environment. We also focus on test automation, with more than 10,000 regression tests automatically running every day, integrated into the Azure DevOps environment. So, in terms of quality, we can confidently say that no speck of dust can enter the machine.

Digitalization in manufacturing means a unified ecosystem of machine tools and IT tools

A modern, high-volume production unit has many machine tools these days. Such units must be connected to an information network so that the operator can see the status, properties and errors of all machines on a single interface. That’s where the Mcenter and SINUMERIK Edge software family comes in, of which we, evosoft, are the developments partners in Hungary.

Digitalization in manufacturing means embedding machine tools and other equipment for the machining process into a single IT ecosystem. It will ensure that the actors involved in production have the right information at the right time and allow for continuous, direct communication between the tools.
We are talking about smart machine tools, whose status can be monitored and modified at any time, from anywhere, and which can even react and make decisions autonomously in response to changes in their environment. It is one of the most innovative topics among industry market players, and it is also in the focus of attention at all industry exhibitions worldwide.

The Mcenter product family makes it easy to overview what state the machine tool is in, what stage of machining it is in, what tools it is using, or when it needs stopping for planned maintenance. In addition, the Mcenter provides remote access to the controller in the event of failure or user support request. The common goal of these products is to increase productivity, minimize downtime and outages, provide remote assistance, and thus fully utilize the machines, minimizing production and service costs.

On the other hand, SINUMERIK Edge enables primary processing of high-frequency data generated during machining, and thus real-time intervention. With its help, we can organize, filter and pre-process large amounts of raw data generated and forward them to the place of use or storage.

Our co-workers use the latest .NET Core and Angular frameworks to develop products. They mainly program in C#, C++ and TypeScript languages and also learn about Industry 4.0 and edge computing, which is a new flagship in digitalization.
